Polgwedhen Lodge is a secluded lakeside holiday home surrounded by extensive gardens, private grounds and wildlife. Although hidden away in the peaceful Cornish countryside, the lodge is just 4 miles from the cathedral city of Truro. Free private parking is available on site. This is brilliant. The lodge overlooks a picturesque lake, complete with resident nesting ducks. There is a kitchen / dining / sitting area, along with a generous-sized bedroom (four poster bed) and separate bathroom. Upon our arrival we found scones, jam and cream waiting for us and a lovely welcoming note. We met our hosts the next morning, and we loved hearing about how they had built the lodge themselves. Definitely one of the best we have ever stayed in.

The country house also offers secluded self-catering chalets with a fully equipped kitchen. This location was amazing! The lodge was perfect (we were in Willow Lodge). Everything exceeded our expectations and we had an amazing stay (even though the weather wasn’t kind!) The kids could run around outside freely and safely. It’s a wonderful place to stay!
