I enjoyed my stay at Kona
I was upgraded to an oceanfront view, which was fabulous even though I didn’t eat at restaurants I prefer cooking my own meals. I had a very relaxed vacation. Wish I could’ve stayed longer, but I do want everyone to know that this place was fabulous.

We loved the island.
We loved the island. The ocean, the colorful flowers, shrubs and trees. We did an amazing all day tour to the coffee farm, the volcano national park, black sand beach, lava tube, water falls and valley. We also did an absolutely stunning tour of the Mauna Kea summit to watch the sunset, star gaze and telescope close ups of the moon, Jupiter and stars clusters. Our Manta Ray tour was cancelled due to bad sea conditions, which I appreciated very much their safety concerns over profits.
It’s a beautiful island with lots of sights to visit and things to do.

Huggo's On The Rocks and Foster's Kitchen were 2 of our favorite restaurants to dine at.
Manta Ray Adventures night snorkel was a blast!!!!
Historical harbour cruise was fun and informative.
Royal Kona luau (voyagers of the pacific) was terrible.
If you have a rental car, it is very easy to get around the island for a day trip.

The coffee was amazing, the food was great (although the restaurants were very crowded). Public parking was hard to come by and paid parking was very expensive. Get a rental car and you are in a good central location to hike, visit the volcano, and from all the shopping and touristy things to do.

First of all, this was not the room that was pictured on...
First of all, this was not the room that was pictured on booking.com. I ended up in a tiny little corridor, claustrophobic, feeling room with a toilet that just kept running, and a lanai door that would not open. Clearly, this did not just happen it was like rusted shut and should never have been rented in such condition. I have reached out to the property I’ve reached out to booking.com. No one has called me or emailed me. I uploaded videos to prove what a mess this place was.
compared to the other places I stayed for the nine days. Way better then hotels by far. I even stayed at Hilton. I called walk a lot Hilton. did not enjoy that very expensive stay at the Hilton took 2 1/2 hours just to get checked in . The condo pull up your car walk about 50 feet you’re in your room, no hassle. I loved that the pool didn’t have a bunch of children in it. Plus, condo is extremely well supplied with all the little extras that you need. if I was going to go back to Kona, I would repeat that condo.
I stayed at the Big Island Retreat while competing at the Ironman World Championship. What a stunning find, a perfect hotel for the race, close enough to Kailua-Kona to be accessible, far enough away to avoid the chaos. If you like older buildings, this is the place, so nice to stay in a room with real character
It wasn't cheap, but still great value compared to the crazy prices that other places charge. Big room, lovely veranda, excellent cooking facilities, great bed, plenty of parking
My wife and I really enjoyed our stay. The resort has beautiful landscape, the view of the ocean is amazing. It is clean and well-maintained, staff were very friendly and accommodating. pools, hot tub and restaurant were above expectations. We received gifts on arrival which was a pleasant surprise. Tours are available a short walk from the resort. Room was good overall. Safe was out of batteries, but security came and fixed it on request.
The hotel has a great location, beautiful view right on the water. We upgraded for a small fee to a corner room with a balcony that had amazing views, modern, clean, comfortable room. The resort has lots of amenities, great oceanside pool, bar, convenience store all accessible, terrific staff, always helpful. We attended the Friday night Luau which was a lot of fun and good food options.
we loved it so much! quiet not overcrowded and we’re welcomed with a true spirit of “ Aloha” in Hawaii! We loved Kona so much and can’t wait to go back again! It felt like a condo and our home, not just a hotel. It was clean, spacious and had a nice balcony where you can hear the ocean and see it.
The view was spectacular. The resort was just so perfectly set, I don't think there was a location in the resort that didn't have incredible views! The room was large and comfortable and the balcony was exceptionally big. The restaurant below (Don's) was really great food for a reasonable price.
the receptionist were especially friendly and helpful. All the staff appeared to be friendly and helpfull however, one of the front desk receptionist went beyond job expectation. All around we found the resort to be wonderful vacation and we are already planning to return soon.
Very chic hotel with elements of modern minimalist look and a hip/cool feel. Right in the heart of Kona tourist area with lots of shops and restaurants in walking distance. When we asked about a microwave, they sent one to our room immediately.
location across from one of the best snorkeling beaches for beginners. away from hustle and bustle of Kona hotels. multiple lanai’s with great views of the beach/ocean, well-stocked kitchen with respect to things you’d need to cook/eat
Nicely refurbished into a Boutique hotel, loved the details in the room. Feel good atmosphere makes you want to hang around. Well done!
Excellent location, free beach towels and chairs, coffee in the morning.
The room location within the Hotel Complex and the Hotel Complex location within the Kona township. The veranda overlooked the beach, and it was an easy walk into Kona for restaurants, pubs and shopping.
Great large apartments. I like that they have invested in solar panels and that the AC turns off when the balcony door are open. Great parking spaces, comfy beds. Reasonably close to Kailua-Kona centre.
This is a very cute hotel tucked away just far enough from the center to have peace and calm, but only a 5 minute walk to the beach and hot spots in Kona. The staff was amazingly friendly and helpful.
It was very good and had a kitchen with tools, at a cheaper rate than hotels near it. It is close to many destinations and has an exceptional view point towards the sea.
Relaxing, low key resort with large apartments and beautiful views of the sunsets from the pool. Facilities in the apartments were great, everything you needed.
Real pleasure to sleep to the sound of waves. Small hôtel well situated. Beach chairs and body board available to envoy thé lovely beaches of Big Island
