Evening meal was excellent, breakfast was exactly what we asked for. Whitebait and scampi for Evening meal was the best because it was fresh, husband had gammon steak which was huge, food was excellent.

Rooms were exactly what was “on the tin” (photos).
Clean and fresh as were the stairs and landing areas
Carpets nice and new looking and freshly decorated.
Emma & Anthony were very nice people and were eager
to please and most helpful. Nothing to much trouble.
This charming family-run hotel has a great restaurant and a wonderful, peaceful location on Whitby’s West Cliff, near the seafront and within walking distance of the town centre.

Very nice historic fishing village I would visit again.
Very nice historic fishing village I would visit again. Abby and Captain cook museum is worth a visit. I had mussels and fish and chips at Mister Fish and Chips and it was all very good. Whitby is quite hilly but easy to get around. A train trip on the Yorkshire Moors railway is a must. I wish I had stayed a bit longer than over night.

I would advise the Park and ride as Whitby is a nightmare to park. We parked at the P&R and got an all day family bus ticket for £5:20, for the length of time we were there i think it would have cost much more to park. Whitby is a great place but, shops seem to be closing down, not a lot but they are closing.

Whitby is easy to access.
Whitby is easy to access. Everything within walking distance. Lots of history connected with the sea. Some lovely shops. Plenty of places to eat and drink. Good fish & chips both eat in and take away.
Thé hôtel is beautiful and with fabulous local walks within the Raithwaite estate. The staff couldn’t be more helpful, professional, kind, and willing to help whenever needed. The is set within beautiful gardens, and is within easy walking distance of Sandsend, and about a 40 min lovely walk to Whitby. We loved the spa and pool, and our room with a balcony was superb. The food and drinks are on the expensive side, but the quality and standard reflects the price.
Great location, very comfortable and clean. A great place for self catering as the kitchen area was well stocked. Tea & coffee, sugar & some biscuits were supplied & even milk in the fridge (semi-skimmed would have been better than while but I know I’m being very picky). Small tubes of shower gel etc and clean soft towels. We didn’t switch the tv in but it was there and there was plenty of space & lovely views of Pannet park & Whitby abbey.
The quaint feel of the attic space apartment was perfect for us. It felt cosy and was perfect for a couple. The walk into Whitby was quick and easy, with many amenities on the doorstep. The guidebook helped with some suggestions of places to visit and we enjoyed two wonderful meals: Abbey Harbour and Moon and Sixpence, as well as delicious cocktails at Cafe Montmarte. All in all, a wonderful break, where we would be happy to stay again.
Everything. The room was lovely, as it has a perfect view of the Abbey. The rooms where immaculate and spacious. The staff on reception could not do enough for you, nothing too much trouble. Location was perfect. For a town centre hotel, didn't expect to be parked on site, but was directly opposite over the road which was great (did research on this before booking). Perfect. Would stop again here if we return to Whitby. Thank you
The Overdale was very clean.
There was a big attention to detail in how the room was presented; it's decor fitted the Victorian feel of the house
so all worked really well.
We had a lovely few days in Whitby which part of it, was down to our comfortable & clean accomodation.
It was lovely to talk to Jane our host, she was very informative re.places to go in Whitby.
Great to have a parking space too.
Spacious area, quality bed and bedding, spotlessly clean. Easy access to the apartment, parking permit for the two day stay. We've stopped all over Whitby, in a variety of hotels and apartments over the years and this is one of the best and highly recommended. Great value and location for the price.
From the hotel quality bed to the modern bathroom and interesting decor alongside the friendliness and helpfulness of the hosts and the view of the Abbey make this the perfect place to stay for Whitby, Robin Hoods Bat and the North Yorkshire Moors.
A lovely historic hotel in a quiet village, room was very spacious, comfortable and clean and the large garden, sitting room and honesty bar are all nice touches. Hotel is around a miles or so walk from Whitby, with a few options for routes.
Liked the experience as was something different and a different way of hotelling in that there's key code and your left alone to do whatever. You are provided with contact numbers however for emergencies and a email for enquiries.
Lovely hotel right by the sea and beach we could hear the waves from our room 😊 Great views of Whitby and the harbour very close to the abbey steps. Great room comfy bed loved the coffee machine we will definitely be back.
Decent Location with easy Access in Whitby A Quiet and very Freindly Hotel with Parking Decent Breakfast one of the best in Whitby hotel let us have extended car parking time so we could have one more wander.
Lovely hotel staff very nice and friendly breakfast was delicious and had loads of choices right in the centre of whitby rooms were very spacious and very clean would recommend this hotel
Excellent hotel set in an idyllic location, only a short drive from Whitby Harbour. The room had great facilities, was very clean and breakfast was delicious, and included in the price!
The Angel is situated on the harbour with lovely views from the room. It is a Wetherspoons hotel so food and drink prices are good. Room was clean and the staff helpful.
Located opposite beach. A short walk from Whitby harbour. Spotlessly clean hotel and room. Great breakfast. Very friendly hosts. Will definitely recommend.
