It was very clean. The staff on reception weren't sure if our room was ready so sent someone to check. It was ready but they gave us a free drink for making us wait.

The breakfast was above expectations and our room was spotlessly clean throughout our stay. The staff were warm and welcoming. The location of the hotel was ideal. We parked the car in the car park when we arrived and did not use it again until we left. Everywhere we wanted to go was within walking distance from the hotel.

Great history especially if one is a Shakespeare aficionado.
Great history especially if one is a Shakespeare aficionado. I was drawn more to the architecture and history as well as the walks along the canal. Also, theater is great, of course. We were unable to see a Shakespeare play, but instead saw "English" at the Royal Shakespeare Company's newest venue "The Other Place", a facility established by the RSC after a top staffer shook things up a bit in 2016 and suggested being more relevant

Stratford-upon-Avon is a beautiful town.
Stratford-upon-Avon is a beautiful town. There are lots of green spaces offering respite from the lovely shopping areas. Eating out is a treat. We're vegan and had lots of choice. The Plantarium cafe is a must visit. Lots of reference to the history of Stratford and its connection to Shakespeare add to the charm. We only went for a short break but it's somewhere we'd definitely go back to.

I cannot but express my concern that in the light of the fire, Booking .com did not carefully that potential guests had been informed and that the use of technology to look after potential guests interests was most inappropriate.

Lovely place to spend a weekend, the river and canal basin area are very pretty, loads of really good restaurants, places to stay and things to do. The Shakespeare birthday celebrations/parade is great (mid April). We did the marathon there and that's a great event if you are keen on running.

Stratford upon Avon is great for a short trip and easy to get to from London or anywhere from the Midlands. Particularly nice in spring. There are options for boat hires along the river, or go on a boating trip with someone else steering. Lots of little shops to explore. The big draw is the RSC. So nice to take in a play there with a pre-theatre dinner and explore the town.

The character because of the properties age and the ample parking, the village is beautiful and the drive into Stratford upon Avon was really pleasant. The room was large and clean with a good sized bathroom and loads of hot water. The staff at the hotel are amazing, very friendly and welcoming making you feel like valued guests from the greeting on arrival to checking out. Breakfast was perfect with various options from a full English, toast, cereal to yogurt and pastries with loads of coffee, tea and juice.
The location and the room were excellent and most of all, the hosts were warm and delightful. They made us feel at home from the minute we arrived and although we had a climb to the 3rd floor, the room was airy, filled with windows, and warm sunlight beating into the room. They had a nice and small kitchen centre in the floor below, that was a pleasant nook to break for a snack or takeout! Breakfast was delicious as well. I would definitely stay here again, were we to return to Stratford upon avon!
Immaculate and large room (especially relative to most UK hotels) with modern but not ubiquitous decor/furnishings, a short distance from Stratford town centre. Most importantly, a comfortable bed/bedding and beautiful view of the countryside through glass double doors with a small outdoor sitting area. Outstanding food. Amenities in the room -- mini fridge (many UK hotel still do not) iron, kettle, excellent toiletries that smelled lovely -- were excellent and everything you need.
Spacious, attractive hotel. Superbly placed for visiting Stratford upon Avon. Well maintained garden and terrace to sit and enjoy a drink or lunch. We were just there for one night on our way to the Cotswolds but had a very pleasant stay. We traveled with our dog who was welcomed by all. Our room was a good size and the large bed was very comfortable.
Breakfast was good although it wiuld be better to move the toaster further away from the hot breakfast as people seem to gather around waiting for toast and in Covid times this is not ideal.
Room was fine, really big TV in room which was good.
Location was very good for Stratford Upon Avon.
The hotel and the room we stayed were lovely. There was no restaurant available for an evening meal, but with all the other restaurants and cafes about in Stratford, this wasn't a problem for us!!The breakfast though was incredible, with plenty of choice and excellent service!!
Nicely appointed hotel - quite a long walk from our rooms to the main hotel. Breakfast was very good. We enjoyed the Manor Bar in the evening; great staff there. Did not use the spa but it looked good!
Heated towel rails in the bathroom and lovely big bath sheets.
We had a room in the original building with a partial view of the river. The hotel location was excellent for a theatre visit. Also parking was easy and cheap, £8 overnight in the hotel car park. We would pick this hotel again for a stop in Stratford upon Avon.
Perfect location, room was spotless and comfortable, breakfast and service was amazing and location from office to town centre was less than 5 mins…. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone who is planning a stay over in Stratford upon Avon
Lovely hotel in the heart of Stratford upon Avon. We were here for an event at the literary festival. Room was ideal - perfect temperature, well furnished - stylish decor with nice touches such as complimentary drinks and snacks.
Lovely hotel, right in the middle of Stratford. Room was very clean and very tastefully decorated. Lady on reception was very helpful, walked us to our room and gave us some recommendations for food and drinks
This has to be the best hotel in Stratford Upon Avon, the staff are so friendly, kind and attentive. The rooms are gorgeous and perfectly centrally located. Breakfast is top class and all is good value.
Perfect location. We walked into the centre of Stratford Upon Avon during the day which was 1.5km from the hotel. Friendly staff. Lots of choice at breakfast. Spa facilities were lovely.
Location was great! Closer to nearby motorway.
Close to Stratford upon Avon town centre. Close to lovely canal walks for the dog in my spare time. Cheap price for family of 3 plus dog
Lovely looking pub. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Lovely setting in a small village. Close to Stratford upon Avon. Food was nice, but gutted it wasn't homemade food.
We walked into Stratford upon Avon so the location was ideal. There was also a little outside seating area by a brook which was lovely as it was a sunny day.
